As Red Frogs, our role is to support a generation of school leavers during what can be an enjoyable, yet at times, physically and emotionally confronting week. Below are the ways Red Frogs assist during Schoolies week in Torquay.
Join the CrewTorquay
Torquay has been inhabited by Red Frogs for the past 10 years.
Since then it has become a location that is popular with volunteers who are keen to spend their week interacting with schoolies in a fun environment surrounded by beautiful beaches. Torquay is unique, as it is a large geographical area with schoolies spread out across caravan parks, backpackers and private accommodation houses.
In Torquay, we assist with Schoolies in a number of areas. We have street teams around the main hub of activity. Visitation teams cover the whole location, dropping into Schoolies accommodation, cooking pancakes and hanging out. The admin team work tirelessly in our HQ, coordinating teams and working directly with the Red Frogs Hotline.
If you are looking for a more laid back atmosphere, are team oriented, have a desire to build long-term friendships and willing to serve in all areas of the program then Torquay is the place for you.

*If you are applying as a team leader you are required at your location a day earlier. Dates subject to change pending further advice due to COVID-19.
Hotel Chaplains are the core of our Schoolies response. As a chaplain you will be part of a team of 4 to 5 crew members responsible for a hotel 24/7. This is your opportunity to build friendships with the Schoolies by being available to them in their hotels, on the streets or in the Schoolies Hub.
Each team has a team leader as well as a strong network of pastoral carers and location leaders, ensuring you are valued and supported day and night. Being a Hotel Chaplain is a full time commitment for your selected date block.
Red Frog Hotline Crew
The Red Frog Call Centre in Torquay is the hub for the Red Frog movements around Victoria, receiving calls for anything from random acts of pancakes to more serious issues requiring immediate response.
Call centre volunteers are rostered on day, night and late night shifts. As call centre crew you are part of a team of people who will provide directives to the hotel chaplains, allowing them to make maximum impact in supporting Schoolies and get to incidents in time, instead of after time.
Whether you’re handy with a camera, have a director’s cap or just love telling a great story - we need you.
