Join the CrewByron Bay

Byron Bay has fast become a trendy location for schoolies to gather during end of year celebrations.

Byron Bay attracts a mixture from QLD, NSW and VIC, so the Red Frog crew in Byron needs volunteers from those locations to support school leavers with walk homes, pancake cook-ups, and chai.

See below for volunteer requirements, cost and dates.

#Red Frog Roles

As Red Frogs, our role is to support a generation of school leavers during what can be an enjoyable, yet at times, physically and emotionally confronting week. Below are the ways Red Frogs assist during Schoolies week at Byron Bay.

Team Member

Team Members are the core of our Schoolies response. As a team member, you will be part of a team of 4 crew members responsible for an area of Byron, typically made up of multiple streets, accommodation providers and other points of interest. This is your opportunity to support the Schoolies by being available to them in their accommodation and on the streets.

Each team has a Team Leader, as well as a strong network of Chaplain support, pastoral support and location leadership, ensuring you are valued and supported day and night. Being a team member is a full-time commitment for your selected date block, unfortunately no part-time registrations are available.

Logistics Crew

Enabling Red Frogs to operate during Schoolies requires a huge amount of resources being set up, relocated and managed. This includes the Red Frogs Zone on the Byron Bay foreshore, pancake kits for teams, transporting team members around Byron Bay and more.

If you’re a behind-the-scenes kind of person, have a logistical mind and love a to-do list, then this role could be for you.
